Sustainable Design

Paula Ruisi's career began in Philadelphia after graduating from the Moore College of Art with a BFA in Interior Design. The perpetuation of her commercial and residential design practice led her to Paris, France where she learned adaptation of historic styles under the mentorship of Henri Bechard. Her sojourn was highlighted by the acceptance of a pair of her consoles for the entrée at the French Sénat at the Palais Luxembourg.

Returning to the States, Paula focused on product design and residential interiors, working on projects with noted designers in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Her fabric and wall covering designs for Brunschwig and Fils were published in House and Garden magazine and were featured on display at Tiffany's New York and the main offices of Brunschwig and Fils. Paula relocated to Rhode Island in 1999 and currently works with clients in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

Paula considers her greatest assets to be her knowledge in all facets of design and her experience with a variety of styles. Her design philosophy is to engage her clients in a joyful pursuit of transforming their environments in tune with their own sensibilities.
